Celebrating MLK

Come honor the legacy and celebrate the birthday of Dr. King with us! Join local storyteller Thembi Palmer for an interactive celebration of MLK Day that invites children to participate in imaginary play while emphasizing the importance of leadership, community service, and kindness.

This weekend, our daily storytimes will focus on Martin’s Big Words: The Life of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. and What Does Peace Feel Like?

Creative Arts Studio
How can you use your powerful voice and colorful imagination to brighten a neighbor’s day? Join us in the Creative Art Studio and make as many cards as you wish for neighbors in need, near and far.

- Workshops (all ages): 1-1:30 p.m., 2-2:30 p.m., 3-3:30 p.m.
Albert M. Greenfield Makerspace
How will you use your engineering skills to help your community? Join us for one of our Makerspace workshops this afternoon and tackle one of our design challenges. Create something to help a person in your life, your neighborhood, or our planet.
