From May 6 to June 27, 2021, see a gallery of colorful rainbows created by children during the pandemic. Children can add to the exhibit by creating a masterpiece in our Creative Arts Studio – helping them learn about empathy through art-making.
Woodside Park Dentzel Carousel
Take a spin on our glimmering carousel – a piece of history built in 1924! Ride one of the intricately carved horses, rabbits, cats, pigs, goats or our stationary chariots. Rides are fully accessible and can be purchased online. Unlimited Carousel rides are included with our all of our Membership levels.
Featured Artifact: The Slinky
The Slinky was invented in 1943 by Richard T. James, a naval engineer from Philadelphia. Since then, over 300 million Slinkys have been sold and enjoyed by generations of children everywhere!
We are proud to have an extensive collection of more than 25,000 historic toys and games in our collection. The Museum is also home to cultural artifacts representing the history of American child-life including art and other contemporary installations.
