Artists Wanted! Double Rainbows Exhibition Underway…
When families couldn’t go out to play due to the Coronavirus pandemic, children across the region created colorful rainbows to display in windows of their homes to spread joy and hope with their neighbors and communities. Now there is a new way to have even greater impact.
Please Touch Museum and Temple Contemporary at the Tyler School of Art and Architecture are collaborating to create an exhibition of rainbows created by children during the pandemic. First, submitted rainbows will be featured in an online exhibition – and then – they will be shared with families who have lost a loved one due to the coronavirus as a show of caring and compassion. What a wonderful way for children to learn about empathy through play and art-making.
Participating is easy!
Children can share the original rainbow displayed in their home, or create a new one to share! Creativity is welcome – children can use paint, crayons, markers, colored pencils, decoupage, stamps, or any materials that inspire them to create a beautiful rainbow to share joy with a family in their community. To participate, please mail rainbow artwork to:

Help Us Create the Future of Play.
Collaborations such as the Double Rainbows Exhibition with Temple Contemporary create essential learning opportunities for young children who are discovering the world around them. While the doors to our magical world may be closed right now, there’s important work happening on behalf of young children in our region.
Please help us continue programs such as these by supporting our urgent $5 million resiliency campaign to Create the Future of Play at Please Touch Museum.
