In Winter 2024, Please Touch Museum will begin a $4.2 million project to renovate the marble flooring in Memorial Hall in advance of the building’s 150th anniversary celebration in 2026; projects to restore building’s dome and exterior facade will follow.
Please Touch Museum is pleased to announced its Memorial Hall 2026 initiative to prepare its home — the historic Memorial Hall — for its 150th Anniversary, coinciding with the United States 250th Anniversary celebration in 2026.
The initiative will launch in February 2024 beginning with a $4.2 million replacement-in-kind project to return the building’s marble flooring to its original grandeur. Additional capital projects are forthcoming leading up to 2026, including essential repairs to Memorial Hall’s majestic dome and intricate exterior facade.
