Step into Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood — where Daniel and his friends help young children navigate their world, and caregivers guide their journey.
This immersive exhibit is based on the award-winning PBS KIDS television series Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood, which follows the adventures of 4-year-old Daniel Tiger, grounded in Fred Rogers’ landmark social-emotional curriculum.
Designed especially for young children, the exhibit invites children and families to work together to solve problems, use their imaginations to transform their surroundings, and play along with Daniel’s singable strategies to learn life’s little lessons.

In this exhibit, kids can:
- 🐯 Pretend and role-play: Dress up as favorite characters and neighborhood helpers, use push trolleys and wearable vehicles, perform on the Imagination Stage, and see yourself in the “Imagination Mirror.”
- 🎵 Express through music: Create sounds, play instruments, and compose your own song or play along with others.
- 📮 Deliver mail: Sort, deliver, and receive letters at the Post Office from your friends in the Neighborhood.
- 🕰️ Visit the Clock Factory: Play with different kinds of clocks, and make your own clock with gears, numbers, and hands, while building persistence and collaboration.
- 🍃 Explore feelings: Practice empathy, self-regulation, and gratitude through activities like the Strategy Blocks.
Through playful, hands-on experiences, children practice key social-emotional skills like using their words, taking turns, managing big feelings, and working together.
