Participate in a sampling of STEAM programs focusing on exploration in Please Touch Museum’s latest temporary exhibit, America to Zanzibar: Muslim Cultures Near and Far.

 

Strolling Science Lab: Five Senses

Practice using your senses as tools for gathering information about the world around us. Explore smells, textures, and sights of items from all over the world.

 

Busy Builders: Architecture Blocks

Construct your own buildings inspired by mosques all over the world.

 

Tinker Time: Sink or Float
Starts at 10 am
Creative Arts Studio, Lower Level

Ages 4+ with adult caregiver

Experiment with buoyancy and observe what objects might sink or float. Construct your own model tin foil boat.

Signature Events + Family Festivals

Our signature events include family festivals and holiday pop-ups. They offer expanded performance and educational offerings with a special focus that may celebrate cultural traditions and holidays, connect to national and local events, or highlight an area of focus in our exhibits.

Performing Arts

The Playhouse at Please Touch Museum invites children to exercise their imaginations and enter new worlds. Inside the theater, visitors experience theater in engaging, interactive and unexpected ways. The Playhouse is the perfect way to introduce young children to the performing arts!

Play Without Boundaries

Play Without Boundaries is a program and early opening for children with learning and developmental disabilities and those on the autism spectrum. It is a free event with registration. Enjoy the museum before it is open to the public with activities and experiences designed especially for this program, including sensory toys, performances and guest presenters. The Museum will be calmer and quieter with fewer people and reduced lighting and sound in exhibition areas.
