Discovery Apron: Rainbows

Early Bookworms: Express Yourself!
10– 10:30 am
Wordsworth Cottage, Main Level
Ages: 1 – 2.5 years old with adult caregiver
Spark curiosity and exploration of literacy for your early bookworm. Join our story circle and journey through books that celebrate self-expression.

Discovery Zone: Rubbabus

Stop by the Zone to play in new and innovative ways! Explore colors and self-expression with Rubbabus.

Creative Arts: Artist Spotlight: Keith Haring
11 am – 2 pm

Drop in and take a close look at yourself today! What makes you, you? Is it your looks, your feelings, the things you do? Get inspired by 1980s Pop artist Keith Haring as you create your own artwork about what makes you special.

Performance: Drag Queen Storytime
1:30 – 2 pm Please Touch Playhouse, Lower Level
2:30 – 3pm Hamilton Hall, Main Level
Ages: 3+ with adult caregiver
Meet Brittany Lynn and explore self-expression through dress-up. Then gather round for an interactive storytime with books all about individuality, pride, and celebrating uniqueness. Drag Queen Storytime is intended to encourage accepting differences, broadening perspectives, and looking beyond gender stereotypes.

Adventurous Afternoon: Science of Light and Color
3:30- 4 pm
Group Rooms 5 & 6, Lower Level

Wonder, question, and observe as our scientists bring science to life and uncover the mysteries of light and color.

Signature Events + Family Festivals

Our signature events include family festivals and holiday pop-ups. They offer expanded performance and educational offerings with a special focus that may celebrate cultural traditions and holidays, connect to national and local events, or highlight an area of focus in our exhibits.

Performing Arts

The Playhouse at Please Touch Museum invites children to exercise their imaginations and enter new worlds. Inside the theater, visitors experience theater in engaging, interactive and unexpected ways. The Playhouse is the perfect way to introduce young children to the performing arts!

Play Without Boundaries

Play Without Boundaries is a program and early opening for children with learning and developmental disabilities and those on the autism spectrum. It is a free event with registration. Enjoy the museum before it is open to the public with activities and experiences designed especially for this program, including sensory toys, performances and guest presenters. The Museum will be calmer and quieter with fewer people and reduced lighting and sound in exhibition areas.
