Exhibits and Events
Generally, the museum is best for children from about six months through age 7. We have created a fun learning environment for infants, toddlers, preschoolers and early elementary-age children. Slightly older children often have fun acting as “teachers” for their younger playmates.
Exhibits props (such as the food items in the ShopRite Supermarket) are cleaned and sanitized nightly. Hand-sanitizer dispensers are locating through Memorial Hall and the restrooms include child-height sinks for washing hands.
Membership and Discounts
You can add one other adult to your membership, but you or they must be present and able to present a valid, government-issued photo ID at the time of admission.
Yes. If your family is larger than six, you can add additional members for a fee. If your family is smaller than four, feel free to bring friends or relatives!
From 4 to 7 p.m. on the first Wednesday of each month, museum admission is only $2 per person; children under age 1 are always free.
Free, one-time admission tickets can be requested through our Children’s Fund, a member-supported program providing free admission for at-risk and low-income families. Requests must be made in writing to: Membership, Please Touch Museum, 4231 Avenue of the Republic, Philadelphia, PA 19131.
Our Portable Play programs are designed to accommodate up to 25 children in classroom settings in pre-K through second grade; most of our play kits can be adapted for infants and toddlers. Typically, we like playmates to be in the same grade to maximize age appropriate play and interaction with peers, but we can work with you to accommodate a mixed-age request.
We also have an assembly program that accommodates up to 100 students per performance.
As soon as possible and at least two weeks before your desired date.
