Family Festival: Build and Imagine

Build it up, knock it down, and design it all over! Come and imagine crazy contraptions and sturdy structures with us.

Create works of art inspired by your trip to the museum! Pick, shape, and connect lots of recycled objects to create an amazing structure!

Tot Spot: B is for Building
Fairytale Garden, Ground Floor
Saturday: 10-10:30am, Sunday 11:30am- 12pm
Join in activities, songs, and play specially designed to offer our youngest visitors time and space to socialize with others and strengthen early learning skills. Our tiniest builders will explore engineering and construction through guided play.

Storytime: Building Cities
City Park, Floor 1
1:30 PM
Get cozy and listen to stories, sing songs, and build literacy skills with stories about buildings tall and wide and the engineers who designed them.

Innovate & Imagine: Block Party
Imagination Playground, Floor 1
2:30pm-  3:30pm
It’s a party in Imagination Playground today! Let’s put on our imagination caps and discover the possibilities of building with blocks.

Please Touch Museum: First Wednesdays
Feb 7 all-day

February 7th 1st Wednesday – Experiment & Experience
Put on your lab coat and get out your journals because Sid the Science Kid is at the Please Touch Museum!  Bring questions and get ready to experiment.
 
On the first Wednesday of every month, Please Touch Museum is open until 7 pm for two extra hours of play, and offers $2 per person admission from 4:00 on. Enjoy your visit!
Creative Arts Studio: Clothespin Paintings
10 AM – 6 PM
Centennial Arts Room
All ages
Create works of art inspired by your trip to the museum. Use clothespins to pick, pinch, and paint with various materials. Which will become your new favorite paint tool?
 
Tot Spot: E is for Experiment

Join in activities, songs, stories, and play specially designed to offer our youngest visitors time and space to socialize with others and strengthen early learning skills. This month, investigate the words, feelings, and sounds of science experiments.

Maker: Dazzling Discoveries

Centennial Classroom
Preschool and Elementary aged children with an adult learning partner
What will you discover? Join us for an hour-long open- ended exploration of the tools and processes of science and engage in experiments big and small.
 
Music and Movement: End of the Day Party

Stretch, wiggle, and move your body as we end our day with a musical party!
