“It was a really great way to get the family together for some quality time. Everyone on our team stroll loved it, we all enjoyed ourselves. Everyone is looking forward to next year and hoping to extend our team”

SAVE THE DATE for Stroller in the Park taking place on Sunday, September 16, 2012. Stroller puts a Please Touch Museum spin on the traditional concept of a 5K walk. This family-friendly, all inclusive event promotes the Get Up and Grow™ initiative, as well as family togetherness and community spirit.

The walk follows a 5K path through Fairmount Park, starting and ending at Please Touch Museum, and features a family health pavilion with a healthy food tent, a fun group stretch and cheer, t-shirts and gift bags with healthy lifestyles information and giveaways, a medal for every participating child, access to Please Touch Museum before it opens to the public that Sunday morning and more!

Get Up and Grow™, created by Please Touch Museum in 2006, is a multi-phase initiative designed to enhance the lives of families by promoting healthy living for children. This healthy lifestyles programming is a lighthearted, interactive, content-based approach to teaching lifelong habits that result in healthier, happier families by providing resources, exhibits, messaging, events and open-ended play experiences.
