Help us Celebrate Martin Luther King’s Birthday with a weekend of community centered activities
Activities from 10:00-4:00 Saturday and Monday; 12:00-4:00 Sunday in our Program Room include:
• Caring Cards and Community Quilts: Families can make well-wishing cards using stamps, markers and crayons that will be sent to a local children’s hospital and resident center. Visitors can also decorate and add a square to collaborative quilts that will be displayed at the participating locations for patients, residents, visitors, and staff to enjoy.
On Saturday and Monday at 10:00; Sunday at 1:00, join us in a celebration of MLK’s I Have a Dream Speech:
• Join in an interactive story time inspired by Dr. King’s legacy featuring books and poems celebrating community service, aspirations, and dreams. Participants can decorate a paper vest that reflects their dreams for the future for themselves and for others.
Special Guest Performer: Hip Hop Fundamentals Performances In Hamilton Hall 12:00 and 2:00 16th, 17th and 18th:
