Don’t miss this three-day celebration of constructing, building, and inventing! Check out our brand new permanent Gear Wall exhibit in Adventure Camp, build a little city with blocks created by students from the Univeristy of Pennsylvania’s School of Design, construct your own amazing Rigamajig machine, and more!

Learn all about gears by building your own system on our new magnetic gear wall. Be one of the first to create something new on this permanent addition to Adventure Camp!

Little City Builder

The building blocks of a city are in your hands. Listen to the rhythm of the city as you build it higher and higher. This new exhibit originated as a project of graduate students from the UPenn School of Design, created in collaboration with Hive76 and PTM. Funding was provided by PennPraxis.

Drop in anytime and build! Using simple machines and building materials, let’s construct, engineer, and imagine projects of all shapes and sizes.

Sunday 11:30am – 12pm
Join in activities, songs, and play specially designed to offer our youngest visitors time and space to socialize with others and strengthen early learning skills. Our tiniest builders will explore engineering and construction through guided play.

Innovate & Imagine: Rigamajig

Sunday: 11 – 1pm

Follow your curiosity and innovate with wooden planks, wheels, pulleys, nuts, bolts and ropes. Work together to imagine and construct your own amazing creation.

Storytime: Building Cities
City Park, Floor 1
1:30 PM
Get cozy and listen to stories, sing songs, and build literacy skills with stories about buildings tall and wide and the engineers who designed them.

Innovate & Imagine: Block Party
Imagination Playground, Floor 1
2:30 – 3:30pm
It’s a party in Imagination Playground today! Let’s put on our imagination caps and discover the possibilities of building with blocks.
