Daily Programming in The Fantastic World of Dan Yaccarino

Enrich your play in our feature exhibit with these special programs happening throughout the day:

Camping Play Corner
9 – 10:30 am
Have you ever been camping? Drop in anytime and gather round the campfire, tell stories, and pretend play in this camping corning complete with toys, fake bugs, backpacks, costumes, a tent, and more!

Color My World Play Corner
11 am – 12 pm
Drop in anytime and learn all the colors of the rainbow and about color matching and mixing in this colorful play corner complete with toys in all your favorite colors.

Drop-In Drawing
12 – 1:30 pm
Drop in anytime to look closely at the colors, shapes, and characters that you see in Dan Yaccarino’s illustrations. Then grab a board and some colored pencils and draw your own creations inspired by what you see.

Storytime
1:30 – 2 pm
Get cozy and listen to stories, sing songs, and build literacy skills with stories from author and illustrator Dan Yaccarino.

Move to the Story!
2 – 2:30 pm
Act out some favorite Dan Yaccarino stories together as you move throughout the exhibit.

Drop-in Drawing
2:30 – 4 pm
Drop in anytime to look closely at the colors, shapes, and characters that you see in Dan Yaccarino’s illustrations. Then grab a board and some colored pencils and draw your own creations inspired by what you see.

Strolling Puppet Tours
4 – 5 pm
Drop in anytime and join our educator and strolling puppet for a conversation and kid-friendly tour of the exhibit!
