Please Touch Museum: First Wednesdays

February 7th 1st Wednesday – Experiment & Experience
On the first Wednesday of every month, Please Touch Museum is open until 7 pm for two extra hours of play, and offers $2 per person admission from 4:00- 7 :00 PM. Enjoy your visit!
The School District of Philadelphia will be on-site with information about Kindergarten registration and readiness.

Create works of art inspired by your trip to the museum. Use clothespins to pick, pinch, and paint with various materials. Which will become your new favorite paint tool?

Join in activities, songs, stories, and play specially designed to offer our youngest visitors time and space to socialize with others and strengthen early learning skills. This month, investigate the words, feelings, and sounds of science experiments.
Live Theater: The Building Show

Join the Playhouse Players and the Three Little Pigs in this zany production all about building things up and knocking them down.
Drop-In and Draw: Tools Test

Preschool and up with a grownup
Drop in and explore different drawing tools. Then grab a paper and experiment!

Sid the Science Kid Exhibition

Get cozy and listen to stories, sing songs, build literacy skills, and make discoveries with stories about science and scientists.
Meet & Greet: Vetri Mobile Teaching Kitchen
Carousel House, Main Floor
4 – 4:30pm, 5 – 5:30pm, 6 – 6:30pm
The Mobile Teaching Kitchen brings the culinary classroom to the curbside in the communities we serve. Children and families have the opportunity to get hands-on preparing a recipe and get instruction for cooking healthy meals at home together.
Maker: Dazzling Discoveries

What will you discover? Join us for an hour-long open- ended exploration of the tools and processes of science and engage in experiments big and small.
Music and Movement: End of the Day Party
Hamilton Hall, Main Floor

Stretch, wiggle, and move your body as we end our day with a musical party!
