Please Touch Museum's School Readiness programming is designed to support and celebrate children and their families as they transition through the early years of formal schooling.
The primary vehicle for PTM's school readiness initiative is Books to Know, Books to Grow!, a six-week program that utilizes Please Touch Museum®'s core values of fun, creativity, innovation, learning and caring for children. First implemented by the museum in 2005, this community-based mobile programming initiative offers an interactive literacy program for pre-K children, teachers and parents. Books to Know, Books to Grow! was developed for children aged 4 -8 and is conducted inside the classroom so as not to disrupt the flow of each student's learning day.
